Data Validation Process

Data integrity is paramount to IFMC IS's reputation as leading the way in healthcare data warehousing programs. With over 4,600 acute care facilities, thousands of physician offices, nursing homes, and home health agencies submitting data, IFMC IS has engineered sophisticated error correction and detection algorithms to detect problematic data. The rigorous process of data validation includes:

• Extensive error-checking including validation with standard data vocabularies such as LOINC©, SNOMED-CT©, ICD-9©, NDC©, CVX©, CPT-4© and CPT-II©
• Conditioning data for ease of extraction and data analysis
• Reporting patient data for national, state and local levels
