Reporting Results

IFMC enjoys partnering with university and academic institutions, commercial, and public organizations to study healthcare issues that improve the quality of healthcare to beneficiaries. A sampling of recent research endeavors include:

• Statistical Methods for Quality Initiatives (SMQI): This CMS special study involved small sample sizes, benchmarking, performing statistical data analysis and simulations and convening expert panels.
• Outpatient Data Quality Improvement Organization Support Center: Multiple analyses were performed on Medicare populations focused on diabetes and mammography topics.
• Report Program Statistics for the CMS Office of Research and Development: IFMC generates CMS payment and usage reports for the Chronic Condition Warehouse. These reports can be accessed at http://www.ccwdata.org/sumstats.php.
